Success Stories

Custom lawn care that actually treats all weeds. From golf-course precision to North Texas neighborhoods and commercial spaces.

Background:

Landscape company that provides mowing, irrigation and landscape services needed a full solution to include lawn treatment service to secure a new client (a manufacturing company) in the warehouse district of McKinney. The manufacturing company found that the employees enjoyed being outside during their breaks. A recent employee satisfaction survey showed that employees did not like the way the grounds looked, covered in weeds and it looked depressing. The manufacturing company values employee satisfaction overall because there is a direct link between job site satisfaction and productivity. This was one of the main reasons why the manufacturing company needed to find a new landscape company.

Challenge:

The campus includes 3 acres of ornamental turf which was 70% consumed by dallis grass and other complex grassy weeds. The landscape company did not have adequate equipment, experienced personnel and know-how on what it would take to not only restore the grounds to meet expectation but also sustain and maintain thick, green grass.

Solution:

Due to the size and complexity of the property, American Lawnscape designed a multi-season approach. This graduated plan employed the use of commercial products in the right combination that are most effective during strategic times of the weed and grass growing cycles. By forecasting then calculating climate, we designed a treatment strategy to eliminate the difficult grassy weeds (decline) while at the same time promoting growth of new turf accordingly.

Results:

By subcontracting with American Lawnscape, the landscape company won the bid.

Then over the course of a few short months, grassy weeds, sedges and broadleaf weeds were controlled. The turf strengthening (occurring concurrently) filled in the void of the suppressed weeds at approximately the rate of weed decline. No large dead patches were observed and strong Bermuda turf throughout the 3 acre property was the result.

Key Takeaway:

No large dead patches were observed and stroBy integrating American Lawnscape’s specialized lawn treatment into their broader service package—mowing, planting, irrigation, and more—the landscape company was able to deliver a complete solution that met the client’s high standards. Our expertise was the missing puzzle piece that turned their standard bid into a standout, contract-winning proposal.ng Bermuda turf throughout the 3 acre property was the result.

Background:

A full-service landscape company outsourced lawn treatment (weed control and fertilization) to a large lawn care provider. Unfortunately, the partnership created more problems than it solved: the landscape company was spending too much time fielding client complaints about thinning grass and persistent weeds.

Challenge:

The subcontractor used a “one-size-fits-all” program that ignored grassy weeds and sedges. Every property got the same treatment: summer fertilizer plus broadleaf weed control. For lawns struggling with grassy weeds and sedges, this approach not only failed—it actually made things worse. Fertilizer fueled more weeds, while controlling them required extra visits and extra charges.

The landscape company’s staff was constantly stuck coordinating additional services instead of focusing on core business priorities.

Solution:

The company replaced the subcontractor with American Lawnscape. Drawing on golf-course-level expertise, we customized treatments:

1. Different products for different properties across the metroplex.

2. Targeted strategies for large-acreage sites, with different treatments for different sections of the same property.

Results:

Calls about weeds and thinning grass dropped dramatically. We saw healthy, thick turf across all properties. No more juggling extra service visits—American Lawnscape handled weed control proactively.

Key Takeaway:

Weeds can’t wait and can’t be fixed reactively. Fertilizing grassy weeds only makes the problem worse. If no one cares about weed control, a one-size-fits-all program might be fine. But if thick, healthy turf with fewer headaches/customer satisfaction and improved profitable revenue matters, American Lawnscape delivers the difference.

Background:

A local mowing company wanted to expand its services to include weed control and fertilization. The mowing company noticed how many requests they were getting and saw a trend when fielding new inquiries about mowing service.

Challenge:

There was a demand for buying mow services and lawn treatment services from one provider and the mowing company was missing out on that revenue potential. Competitors offering both services were winning accounts. The biggest challenge for the mowing company was that they did not have specialized expertise, required licensing, product knowledge, and the ability to create treatment protocols to successfully deliver the service.

Solution:

The mowing company hired American Lawnscape. We supplied the licensing, expertise, and customized treatment programs, while they continued to focus on mowing and customer relationships. Together, we created a seamless add-on service that expanded their offering without added risk or overhead.

Results:

The mowing company immediately unlocked an additional service line, increasing per-client revenue. Clients appreciated the convenience of a one-stop shop, reducing churn and strengthening loyalty. Treatments were delivered by licensed professionals with proven methods, ensuring results and protecting the mowing company’s reputation.

Key Takeaway:

By partnering with American Lawnscape, the mowing company was able to expand beyond mowing without reinventing their business model. They kept their customers happy, increased revenue, and leveraged expert support—proving that growth doesn’t always require going it alone.
